ACA Hosted Rides - A new way to organize rides

Want more intimate rides at different times of the day? On different days? Maybe even close to home so you won't need a car to get there? Hosted Rides are on-line!

Urban Assault Ride

THE MOST FUN you will ever have on a bike!

Mark your calendars for June 22nd because New Belgium Brewery's Urban Assault Ride is coming to Austin. It's a funky bike scavenger hunt that involves smart-street riding, obstacle courses and a huge after party. Both physical and mental muscle are required to win this event. (sort'a like American Gladiators with a demented cycling twist)

More importantly, ACA is coordinating local volunteers for the checkpoints. We have slots for only 15 volunteers, who'll get special t-shirts and admission to the free after party (and free beer) following the event! You know you want it! So volunteer now!

Tour De Fat! Coming Again This Fall

Here's a taste of the 2007 TDF. A great time was had by all. The New Belgium Brewery folks were great. ACA with Yellow Bike Project and the Austin Ridge Riders teamed together and made a bunch of money of our respective organizations. Big thanks to those great guys from New Belgium for bringing this kickin' bike party and circus to Austin. If you missed it, don't worry, they'll be back next year and we'll do it again.

ACA Partners with Kryptonite for Bike Valet Parking

Tired of fighting traffic to get to local events around town? Keep Austin Weird: Get there by bike! We'll even Park Your Bike!

This summer, with sponsorship from Kryptonite, ACA initiated our bike valet parking program. Volunteers from ACA and Yellow Bike Program will staff service at events all around town during the upcoming months.

Look for the Park Your Bike banners at the Austin Farmers Market in Triangle Park (46th Street at Triangle Avenue -- between Lamar and Guadalupe) Wednesday evenings, 4 - 8 p.m.

Watch this website for more "parking places."

Interested in volunteering? Want Park Your Bike service at your event? Contact Laura King at staff@austincycling.org.
