JULY MEETING: Safe Routes to School in Austin
Doug Ballew, a long time ACA member and public health educator with the
Austin/Travis County Health and Human Services Department's Injury
Prevention Program, will talk about the city's Safe Routes to School
Project. Ballew will discuss how the project will strive to increase the
number of children who walk and ride their bikes to school safely. The
meeting will be on Monday, July 7, in the boardroom of the LCRA's Hancock
Building at 3700 Lake Austin Blvd.
AUGUST MEETING: Brainstorming results for ACA's future
Remember all that brainstorming we did in January about the future of ACA?
We're going to discuss next steps to ACA's future. In July, the Executive
Committee will be working with a facilitator to review all of the great
suggestions and ideas from that brainstorming meeting. We'll put together an
action plan to make ACA the cycling association that you want us to be.
Don't miss this chance to hear the plan. The meeting will be on Monday, Aug.
4, in the boardroom of the LCRA's Hancock Building at 3700 Lake Austin Blvd.
